Happy Mother's Day !!

Just a quick tribute to all you 'moms' out there.

Moms are the best.  That's for sure.  I miss my mom very much.  She passed away very unexpectedly 13 years ago.  It was the worst time of my life.  Words really don't even come close to capturing those last days in the hospital. 

My wife lost her mother to cancer just a few short years ago.  Another horrible time.  My wife was with her til the very end.  It's funny how the life cycle works: your parents take care of you, then....you end up taking care of them.  It's a beautiful, yet bittersweet ordeal.  That's for sure.

I don't mean to bring everybody down with this post.  But...I want to let you know that sometimes the things that are closest to us, and very dear -- we sometimes take for granted.  [I know:  I'm preaching to the choir here.]  I do the same thing.  And I get upset when I step back and think about what I'm doing.

So...Moms:  have a great weekend.  And to the rest of you: make sure you tell your mom how much she means to you.  Give her a call.  Send her some flowers.  Give her a hug.  Cuz, moms are the best!

I know exactly how you and your wife feel. Lost my Mom last year at the end of May. I sat at her bedside in the hospital with sunset making a soft glow in the room, stroked her hair and told her it was ok to go, that she had done her job and we would be ok. That's why this Mother's Day is a little hard for me. But, she knew I loved her and still do. xxoo
